Verbania is a renowned health resort situated on the Northern banks of the Borromeo gulf, in the beautiful landscapes of Lake Maggiore. Not to be missed: a visit to Villa Taranto, seat of the Prefecture, immersed in immense gardens featuring fountains, gardens with tropical plants some of which the only examples in Europe.
Other sites of certain interest at Verbana include Palazzo Dugnani, the Landscape Museum and the Romanesque Church of St Remigio, and a few kilometers away from Verbania, the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Campagna.
