Ivrea Piedmont
Founded in 100 B.C., city of great historical interest.
The historic center of Ivrea clings to a hill on the banks of the Dora Baltea, surrounded by an immense moraine amphitheatre. Among the buildings to visit: Ivrea Cathedral, the Church of St Nicola da Tolentino and, in Via Varmondo Arboreo, the Seminary, in the courtyard of which is a mosaic pavement belonging to the cathedral.
Behind Ivrea Cathedral lies the Castle. The most famous event held in the town has to be the Ivrea Carnival.
