Important city because of its agricultural production and vineyards.

Capital of the Langhe, Alb is today an important agricultural and grape growing center. The heart of the old, Medieval city has been marvelously preserved, and houses a wealth of buildings well worth visiting: Palazzo Comunale, the Cathedral of St Lorenzo, the Church of St Domenico, the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena.

The Federico Eusebio Archeological and Natural Science Museum. Piazza Risorgimento and the main street of Alba, Via Vittorio Emanuele II, known also as "Via Maestra", are of great architectural interest.
