Villa Aminta Stresa

Villa Aminta is situated on the shores of Lake Maggiore, between the attractive towns of Stresa and Baveno. The 19th century villa, surrounded by flower-filled gardens and centuries-old trees, offers stunning views of the Borromeo Gulf and beautiful islands of Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori.

The Zanetta family, owners of Villa Aminta since 2000, have restored the villa and its extensive gardens to their original splendour and transformed the property in luxury hotel, filled with antique furniture, stuccoes, chandeliers, and precious wall coverings.

Hotel Villa Aminta has DeLuxe Rooms and Suites all featuring the finest Italian furnishings. All rooms lead out onto balconies or terraces with garden or lake views. Hotel Villa Aminta's Suites and Junior Suites are all located on the highest floor of the hotel, and feature fabulous stuccoes and Murano glass chandeliers.

The Restaurant "Le Isole" overlooks the lake. Its dining room is beautifully furnished with original stucco work and precious decorations. Offering delicious local and international cuisine and a superlative Wine List, Le Isole is a perfect location for important receptions and events for up to 160 persons. The intimate Restaurant "I Mori" is set in the pavilion overlooking the lake, an idyllic venue for a romantic dinner or small scale private party.

From Spring 2008, in the hands of a team of wellness experts guided by Prof. Nicola Sorrentino, guests will be able to enjoy treatments and personalised programmes designed so as to restore mind and body balance. The new Palazzo Aminta Beauty & Spa, the interiors of which have been given a distinctly oriental feel, includes a ‘Zen space’, hydrotherapy facilities, Turkish bath and Sauna as well as a state-of-the-art Fitness area, equipped with the very latest appliances.

Hotel Villa Aminta has two magnificent function rooms with a seating capacity for 100 and 40 people. Sala Borromeo, situated on the ground floor of the Hotel with views of the Lake Maggiore, the Borromeo Islands and the gardens, is equipped with the latest in meeting room technology including wireless connectivity. Sala Amintina, a room of 40 mq with evocative views of the islands, is the ideal location for seminars and small scale events. Leisure facilities available at Villa Aminta include a tennis court, outdoor swimming pool, solarium, and a private beach reserved for the hotel guests. The hotel has two private docks and two mooring buoys.
