Casa Isabella Vaglio Serra - Piedmont

When Monica and Alessandra Barattieri decided to open Casa Isabella, it was with the idea of creating a welcoming country house for those who, like themselves, had fallen in love with the extraordinarily beautiful landscapes of Piedmont. The country house, situated just outside Vaglio Serra, between Langhe and Monferrato, offers guests the chance to experience the authentic atmosphere of a rural home and the delicious food and wine of Piedmont.

The scenery surrounding Casa Isabella is a colorful patchwork of the vineyards, and the hills and woods of the Val Sarmassa Nature Reserve. Here, in the peace and quiet of the Piedmont countryside, an old farmhouse has been converted into a country house in which there is a pleasing combination of traditional architectural features, antiques, and modern designer furnishings. The spacious bedrooms and suites, located on the upper floor of the building, are all individually decorated with beautiful items of Deco and Liberty style furniture.

In true Piedmont style, at Casa Isabella good food and wine are always major protagonists. From breakfast to dinner, guests are given every occasion to savor the typical flavors of Piedmont. Tasty snacks are available throughout the day and, on request, tastings of local cheeses, cold cuts and the region's superb wines are organized. Casa Isabella's wine cellar houses a well researched selection of wines produced by Piedmont's small independent wineries, located in the immediate vicinity, in Monferrato, and Langhe.

Casa Isabella has a small swimming pool where guests can unwind, and even enjoy a selection of wellness programs which include oriental relaxation techniques, massages in the vineyards and yoga classes.
